The blue and gold look really good together. I didn't know Longaberger made glass or pottery baskets. I went to a party once and all I remember being shown were wooden baskets.
Very, very nice.

Good afternoon, Deanie! Oh, I love your pretty tablescape today. I have so many of these Currier and Ives dishes! I've collected for about 20 years! Everything looks so nice together! I didn't know Longaberger made pottery. What a pretty bowl.
Be a sweetie,

First of all...your table is lovely and inviting. Second, the blue, red and white was one of my Mother's favorite color combos (warm, fond thoughts, thanks!) and third...my mother-in-law's name is Deanie and you're the only other Deanie I've ever heard of!! Do you know any other Deanie's? Well, thanks for sharing!
Thanksgiving blessings to you,
Becky

Very pretty table. I love the blue and gold together.

I just caught a glimpse of your previous post. The first brand new car, my first husband and I ever owned, was a 1964 Comet.

Stress management

My friends must think I'm in allot of stress they keep sending me things that tell how to manage STRESS. Stress !!!!A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked:'How heavy is this glass of water?'Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.The lecturer replied, 'The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it.If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.'He continued,'And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,we won't be able to carry on. ''As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.''So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down..Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.Whatever burdens you're carrying now,let them down for a moment if you can.'So, my friend, put down anything that may be a burden to you right now.Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while..Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:* Accept that some days you're the pigeon,And some days you're the statue.* Always keep your words soft and sweet,Just in case you have to eat them.* Always read stuff that will make you look goodIf you die in the middle of it.* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can berecalled by their maker.*If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,it was probably worth it..* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply be kind to others.* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.* Nobody cares if you can't dance well.Just get up and dance.* Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.* The second mouse gets the cheese.* When everything coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.* Birthdays are good for you.The more you have, the longer you live.* You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once. (My sentiments exactly !) * We could learn a lot from crayons... Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colours, but they all have to live in the same box.*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour…Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today . ..I did.Leave comment by clicking on time.

REDUCING STRESS CONTENTMENT THERAPY
CHRIST -like WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS... Contentment Therapy'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happens tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed
.4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus.
'27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
